Our church is pastored by Jesse and Kathy Roland. They came to ALF in 1991 from their hometown of Cairo, Ga. Brother Jesse has been in ministry since 1987 and was ordained in 1991 by the IPHC. Jesse is a chaplain with the Volusia County Sheriffs Office and serves as director of the World Intercession Network for Sonshine Network Ministries. Kathy has been a kindergarten teacher since 2000 and loves working with her kids. He and Kathy have been married since 1984 and have three children... Ashley and husband Steve, Garrett and wife Christine and Joshua and wife Shelby. They have four grandchildren: Jaylene, Abby, Mirick and Sophie.
Abundant Life was birthed in the spring of 1950. ALF was the result of a revival preached by a teenage evangelist who believed God wanted a church in the Barberville community. She pitched a tent and after several weeks of preaching nightly there were enough men, women and children to form the Barberville Pentecostal Holiness Church. Sister Annie Peacock continued to serve as the first pastor of the church and would continue to preach for us occasionally until her recent passing. There have been ups and downs in our history but God has sustained our church faithfully. Abundant Life Fellowship appreciates our heritage and looks to the future with confidence that God will continue to use us to reach the whole world with the full Gospel. Abundant Life is affiliated with Sonshine Network Ministries. SNM consists of 106 churches and 296 licensed and ordained ministers scattered across Florida and South Georgia. God has called us to advance the Kingdom of God by being strategic in the following areas: Generational thinking…. We want to pass the baton to a vibrant, Holy Spirit led, generation and prepare that generation to also think generationally. Church planting…we will not be a Conference that plants churches; we will be a church planting Conference. Understanding synergy…by embracing connections and joints, each individual church and minister becomes more effective in ministry. Supporting world missions…advancing the cause of Christ around the world was not the Lord’s request, it was His command. Our vision is clear and we are resolute in its pursuit.
